The R107 version of the SL range is a truly classic shape and perhaps made most infamous by 80s TV programs such as Dallas and Heart to Heart. The particular car has only had 3 previous owners and comes to us from long term family ownership where it was the subject of a good restoration job. Although badged as a 300 SL, this 280 SL has the straight 6 engine under the sleek bonnet which was a proven engine first introduced in 1974 as the alternative to the V8 power and despite the smaller displacement, it offers ample power and acceleration thanks to its reduced weight under the bonnet.
