also referred to as a 'M8', This super rare 850 'CSi' used the same 850i V12 engine but then was then tuned by BMWs M division so significantly that BMW decided to assigned its own unique engine code S70B56. The factory engine mods included a capacity increase to 5.6 litres and power increase to 380 PS (375 hp) Other factory upgrades included lower/stiffer springs/dampers and recirculating ball steering ratio was dropped 15% over the stock E31 setup these upgrades gave it much better steering/handling.
